Dell xps 8300 usb ports

The usb ports in the back of the pc(all 4) randomly stops working from time to time. Restarting the computer fixes the issue. Also my 4 usb ports on the top and front of the case works fine.

So I've been using the 2 top ports for my mouse and keyboard which seemed to work without any problems for a couple days and now it's the top 2 + front 2 that doesn't work and the 4 ports in the back work fine. Does anybody have any idea what could be the problem and if there is any solution to this? I'm just afraid all 8 usb ports will die on me which will make it impossible for me to do anything since this pc only has usb ports for the mouse/keyboard

Can a dying mouse make the usb port not work property? I've tried to put one device in the in the back and other in the front port and its seems its always the one with the mouse that dies. Restarting or putting the computer to sleep then bringing it back up fixes the problem.
