I have a Dell XPS 8700 with an Evga GTX 970 FTW and I was wondering if I could move the parts from that computer to a new case. I know that the MOBO is micro-ATX. The case I'm looking at is the DIYPC DIY-F2-O. I need to know if everything would be compatible with that case.

Thanks in advance!

As long as the front panel connectors aren't proprietary and you get a different power supply or extenders for the 24 and 4 or 8 pin connectors. Dell cuts their power supply cables to really only work in their own systems.

I'm not sure what kind of front panel connectors it has nor do I know what to look for. Would you please tell me what I need to look for? Also, I upgraded the PSU to a Corsair CX600M. Would the cables be long enough to reach everything?

Yeah that power supply will reach just fine. I just looked at a picture of your motherboard and it looks like it has normal headers for the front panel connectors. The case you chose though it looks nice but I really wouldn't recommend it if you're a first time builder I would go with something that would be easier to build in. Unless you want something small I would just go with like a mid atx tower like from corsair. If you read some of the reviews it talks about it being difficult to build in, so for the most part I really don't recommend small cases for first time builders unless the case is one I know of to be easy to work in.

Thank you so much for your response! I'll try to find an easier case to build in and post a link for you to see if that is good. (Sorry for not including a link to the MOBO or anything.)

Solution
I am moving the guts of my Dell 8700 XPS into a new computer case, Fractal Design Define R5 (White). I have yet to figure out the front panel, wiring sequence. But i will figure it out and post what i find in here & other forum post referring to the Dell 8700 XPS. I will probably just use the old power switch, led's wiring plug in, and cut the wires then wire in the new led's, power switch, etc. with the factory plug. I am unsure if this will work but it makes sense that it should. We will just have to wait and see, I will record videos and post them to VID.ME ( https://vid.me/SomethingNewNow ) wish me LUCK!
