I am looking at a system:

(Refurbished) Dell XPS 8700 i7-4770
32GB m SATA SSD
Win 7 Pro
1TB Hard Drive
Nvidia GT 635
16GB 1600MHz DDR3
DVD/RW
Office 2013 (full version) Pro
Wifi
...for $972 total (free ship, no tax). No returns but supposedly 1-year support from dell. This unit is not directly from dell.

I'm not into gaming at all but want a fast system, the GT 635 should be enough for me and I want Windows 7.

Any thoughts on this configuration and the "refurbished" designation? Thanks!

Hey neither did I but i just watched a couple videos and its really easy, about the only things that can go wrong is putting the RAM in backwards but thats nothing, the only other thing is bending the CPU pins when install the CPU. But as long as you take your time to line it up you will feel them all line up and from there its just a lever that locks it into place, and then everything else is pretty easy.
Many people say this " Its like legos for adults".

Thanks, this one, however, comes with 16GB RAM, Full version Office 2013, so taking that into consideration think it might be a good deal with the total price and free ship. I have a quote on dell now:

Operating System Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64Bit, English
Office Productivity Software Microsoft® Office Trial
Memory 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz - 2 DIMMs
Support 1 Year Enhanced Support - America's Best Standard Support

$703.80 + tax = $752.xx

So, I'm thinking with the extras, Office Pro 2013 + RAM, on the OP, $972 - $752 = $220 more might be logical. Maybe not...

The full version is from the one for $972 OP. Thanks.

Thanks. Office 2013 Pro, alone, is about $165 new. The partpicker makes my head swim. :)
