I have the Dell XPS M1330 that I upgraded to Windows 8 yesterday. This morning, when I would turn it on, the Machine would not show the bios screen, or turn on the HDD.

Solution
Well that's about all the troubleshooting steps we can reasonably try, and it looks like either memory or motherboard. Try reseating the memory again. IF you have two sticks, try one at a time (one could have gone bad).
With the laptop unplugged and the battery removed, hold down the power button for ten seconds. Try to restart. If this doesn't start it, reseat the memory (also with the unit unplugged and the battery removed). The memory should be accessible by removing a panel on the bottom of the laptop. Push apart the metal clips to pop the stick(s) loose, remove all sticks and re-insert at an angle and push down into the clips.

Didn't work

I put the machine to sleep, and left it to charge overnight, woke it up this morning, and then shut it down

Well, as additional troubleshooting steps try to remove the HDD and DVD-ROM (HDD is usually under a different panel on the underside and there should be a screw that holds the DVD drive. Use a pin inserted into the small hole in the face of the DVD drive to pop it open and pull it out.)

Then start up in this condition, just to see if you get the BIOS. Also, have you started with only battery, or only adapter?

Adapter and Battery.

Also, I am unable to remove the HDD and Disc Drive

What prevents you from this? These are unlikely culprits anyway but we shouldn't leave any stone unturned. Try with just one power source at a time, then the other.

I have unscrewed the entire bottom side, but I see no visible access to the Disc Drive

Like I said, the HDD doesn't turn on, nor does the BIOS Screen shows up.

IS this a slot-loading drive? Those won't come out without taking the whole thing apart, so forget that (it's good to be thorough but that's an unlikely culprit). Anyway, if the hard drive comes out attempt a boot without it, and do try an external monitor if you have one available.

Removed the HDD, still doesn't boot

The Main screen just glows a hue, and the external monitor shows nothing.

Oh, the solution was to plug to an external monitor. Guess, it was a memory or processor lag or something.

Thank you anyways.
