Hello, My lap top shuts down and reboots at odd times
no pattern to it sometimes will run 20 mins and do it some times several hour. Any clue what to look for do I need a program to monitor cpu temp ?

this will monitor ur temps. have you tried taking the laptop apart and cleaning the dust out of the heatsink? my hp was noisy and overheated. when i opened it up, the whole long fan intake vent along with part of the output vent was clogged. also, try a bios update to the latest version from the dell website
