I have a Dell PP28L laptop. It used to boot up a few months ago but I have accidentally dropped it and it no longer boots up. When I connect it to a power adapter and press the power button, it flashes some lights and makes a bit of noise before turning off again but it doesn’t turn on the screen. The bottom of the laptop says that it needs a 19.5v 3.44a/4.62a power adapter but I have connected a 19.5v 6.7a power adapter instead, it used to work with this power adapter and I can confirm that the power adapter is working but now it doesn’t work anymore.

Can someone please help me with this? This is my old laptop and I still want to use it.

Needs to be opened up to see if something broke loose during the drop.
Is battery charge light on when connected to power adapter ?

Yes, the battery charge light does turn on when connected to the power adapter.

Also, I've just found out that even though the display does not turn on when I push the power button, the fans are still blowing and it is blowing warm air and the power light is on. I suspect that it is a display issue and I have plugged my external monitor in to test but my external monitor keeps bugging out for some reason even with a different computer.

Flat ribbon connector to display is quite fragile and not soldered so it may have jumped out. Laptop would still have to be opened to check.
