Dell's 16-inch G16 gaming laptop drops to $949

Not only that, but a 4060 mobile is going to puke and pass out trying to drive that 2560x1600 Display. I know these articles are just adverts, but c'mon now.
Hey, I actually wouldn't discount a 4060M for this kinda res. I use it to pull around 100-200 frames in the games I normally play on my Lenovo Legion 5 on medium graphics settings, and I'm on 1440p. Just because there's a 60 in the name, doesn't instantly make it trash!
Though I admit, I'd wait for a sale on like a 4070 model if you're in the 1000 ish buck range. They normally have better RAM and storage thrown in, although build qualities vary wildly depending on the laptop.

Check my sig, I have one too (And it's even the 140W version), it is best suited to 1080p. And on the 4070, at the 1440p resolution's you typically find them paired to, they will perform on par or slightly less than the 4060 at its preffered 1080p. That's not even addressing the VRAM issue. At 1440p you are absolutely brushing up against the limitations of 8GB in many games. My 4070Ti 12GB equipped desktop certainly does at its native 1440p. People need to pay closer attention to this stuff. Buying a laptop today that can only muster medium settings at native resolution, it's only going to get worse from there. Granted, we are talking about greater than 60fps, and considering these almost all come with 165Hz displays it can still look....okay. Regardless, I'll stick to my guns. A 4060M is not suited to 1440p HIGH/MAX SETTINGS. Why Max settings? Because as the months and years go by, system requirements for games go up, eclipsing the performance of the machine. I think it's best to start at the highest point before regressing, not the middle. I only paid 1400CAD for my machine, but I still want it to be viable for as long as possible, assuming the B0 die i9 in it doesn't light off first that is...
