Dell's RTX 4070-Powered Alienware M16 gaming laptop falls back to 1,399 — its lowest price

If you can only own a single computer that has to fill the needs of gaming and work and leisure AND be mobile, this might be a great choice, especially at this price.

With the 5000-series cards still likely at least a year away, especially in mobiles, I'm not sure it's going to get any cheaper than this for awhile.

The only real downside is that it only has a short battery life (5:20 as tested by PCMag, matching Dell's claims). The ASUS Zephyrus M16 has the same GPU, a 13900H vs a 13700HX, and an 8 hour battery life (as tested by PCMag) for $100 more.

Yeah, that DOES seem like a pretty good deal for only 100 more.

However, some will believe in Dell's support capabilities far more strongly than Asus.

Uhh, sir!

8GB is enough for a default Mac configuration! 16GB is surely enough for default Windows!

😉
I suspect 16 GB is enough for 95% of most typical Windows users..., that being said, I got 32 GB even back in a 2017 build!)

Given Dell's typical 'charge triple what RAM upgrades are actually worth' costs, I'd order it with 8 GB if possible, and replace both sticks with 16 GB modules at less than half of what Dell is likely to charge...! :) (Same with boot SSD config, they likely want an extra $250 per TB....)
