Hello all,

I have a Delta 12x DVD-ROM and it has NEVER properly played DVD movies. I put in a movie and it clips and glitches or just won't play. Sometimes it even crashes my player software.

I just bought a new motherboard (ABIT VH6-II) and the problem is still there. I have a Voodoo3 2000 AGP and I'm running Windows 2000 SP2.

Hardware:
ABIT VH6-II
PIII 800EB
Voodoo3 2000 AGP

O/S:
Windows 2000 SP2

DVD Software:
WinDVD 2000

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

How fast is your CPU?
What DVD software are you using?

I got three suggestions:
Try a different DVD software, like PowerDVD.
Try your your Delta DVD-rom on your friend's computer and see if the same thing happens.
Try installing the latest firmware from <A HREF="http:// http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/dvd/dvd.htm" target="_new">here.</A>

Thanks for the suggestions. One question.

How do I know what my DVD-ROM's current firmware version is?

Thanks

Go to <A HREF="http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/utilities.htm" target="_new">http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/utilities.htm</A> and download the software that will show you your firmware version.
