Hey fellas,

I need some help. I currently use a Black Label Delta, and I am beggining to really hate the noise, I don't want my performance to suffer that much, but I need a quieter fan. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

Water cooling is not an option, as I have not the guts to run water through my computer just yet.

I've looked at 80 - 60mm fan adapters and some 80mm fans, anyone running something like this?

These are my thoughts, your mileage may vary.

hey get one of those 60-80 adapters and do a shroud to channel the air flow I have been using them for quite some time in fact I made crapy throw away adapters for my own system before thay came out. you should get better performance from a 50+ cfm fan but not that anoying whine of the delta.

I can live with the fan noise, but man that Delta Whine..... that is another creature all to itself.

These are my thoughts, your mileage may vary.

Forgive my ignorance, but how do I change what voltage the fan is running at? I don't have it hooked to a cpu fan header, I have a 3 to 4 pin connnector hooked to the PSU.

These are my thoughts, your mileage may vary.

you can rewire it to hit different power in your system. The 4 pin connectors hold 2 grounds a 12V and a 5V line.

Pete.
