Desk Top Troubleshooting

Lately my Desktop has been shutting down on me with out warning. I've been trying to Figure the Cause with no luck. I was thinking maybe cpu over heat and I removed and replace the Thermal paste thinking it was too old but that didn't seem to change anything. I have the CPU-Z and Hardware Monitor Pro but to be honest I'm not 100% sure what the reads should say to rule out anything else. Any suggestions would be great

I'm running an ASUS Republic of gamer Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard
AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz
16GB Ram
AMD Radeon HD 7800

Try testing different power supply.

thanks for the reply, Yeah i bought a new one just in case. Same problem but now it happens during the boot test. still shuts down with no reboot. i see the code flash and it holds stead on OC then flashes FF right before the shut down. the MB has an option to bypass the boot and go straight to Bios this works fine

No problem. It could be the board, or CPU, or... A local pc shop might help in troubleshooting.
