Deskjet 3550 printer driver

Hello,

My HP laptop running on Vista OS will not install the HP deskjet 3550 printer driver from the printer CD. It flags the OS as the problem. Any solutions?

You may be trying to install a 32 bit driver when your OS is a 64 bit, or visa versa.

You may be trying to install a 32 bit driver when your OS is a 64 bit, or visa versa.

I should have stated at the beginning, the Vista is a 32 bit OS and so is the driver. That is not the problem.

"Flags the os as the problem" - what is the exact msg you receive ?
Have you uninstalled the printer / drivers completely before re-installing ?
