DeskJet 820Cse problem. Print head speeds up and slams int..

I have a HP Deskjet 820Cse and it just stopped working. When I turn it
on, the printer head goes back and forth like normal, then it goes
really fast to the left and hits the end of the track. Any ideas what
could be wrong with it?
