Deskotop SSD into Laptop

hi,
I´m using an SSD on my desktop and I have an old laptop that is very slow and I tryed using these SSD on it and when i tryied to boot it said to inserto bootable disk.
Is there anything i can do?

Only thing you can do is to install new OS on it.
