Greetings all!

I'm in the process of trying to upgrade my current computer setup. My desktop now sits on the floor and I'm thinking about purchasing a wire self on wheels (something like this) to place the desktop on in order to (1) get it off the floor and (2) make it easier to move and work with when needed. I searched youtube to see if anyone else has done this and I haven't found any examples. This leads me to think there might be a reason why. Perhaps the components vibrating while on a wire shelf is ultimately detrimental? Just curious if any of y'all know a reason not to do this.

It's because the YouTubers are more about style and love IKEA style furniture that they wouldn't consider using a wire shelf.

I've used one in the past for various electronics and nothing bad came of it. You might want to consider one without wheels or ensure the wheels can lock though.

EDIT: On a side note, I don't use one anymore because I put my computer on a drawer thing (ironically from IKEA)

Also the holes in a wire shelf can make things inconvenient.
