desktop build advice

Hello my current pc build is not up to par for todays games here is my setup and (my goal) is see if i can keep my case and fans, power supply and ram and then just buy a motherboard, intel I7, gtx 1080 and cpu cooler and ill buy a new hard drive and possibly smaller sized ssd.
Can any1 tell me if the items below , i can keep for the new build and how much i would have to spend to get to my goal

No it won't . You need to buy a new mobo.

But , you want a CPU to fit in your current Mobo ?

So you need a new CPU, motherboard, RAM and GPU. A Ryzen 5 2600X, a B350/B450(when it comes out) board, and 16 gigs of DDR4 memory, and whatever GPU you can afford after that, will suffice. You should be able to use the other parts with these new ones just fine.
