Hi, so I recently got all the parts to my Desktop and I went to build my very first computer, I installed the cpu, mobo, psu, ram, and some other components. Now when I went to install the GPU it wouldn't fit into the slot.

Now I know I should've gotten the dimensions, etc, but I got the build from someone on these forums and I thought it would've been checked for these so what I'm wondering is if there's anything I can do or do I just have to get a new motherboard & case all together?

I guess the case, the damn 390 is to tall to fit into the case. Wishing there was a way to get around this, but if I have to end up getting a new case should I just buy a new mobo or what should I do?

Sadly the side panel isn't the one causing it not to fit, it's the drive bay. But to be honest it would be the side panel if I could actually get it in... This makes me really sad.

Do you think it could fit in this case? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-cc9011086ww

Oh, you can remove drive bays usually. Pcpartpicker shows that the max supported card length is longer than your card, so either it is wrong or you have to remove some drive cages.

Note: proper terminology is length for what you're talking about. Height is how much it sticks out perpendicular to the motherboard.

Alright well I'm going to get at it tomorrow, hopefully it works if not I'll have to get a new case. Thanks for the help.
