Desktop can't connect to internet through ethernet.

I have my pc connected to my router using an ethernet cable, but it will not connect. It keeps saying Unidentified Network. I set both DNS address and IP Address to configure automatically, but for some reason it seems like DHCP is still disabled. Can someone please help?!

Start with the basics. See if you have a link light on the NIC port. Bad cable or drivers can cause the problem. If you notice you have no Gateway showing up which would be your router.

I just updated the drivers today, and have tried 2 ethernet cables.

Was the internet working on this computer before, or did you just get the computer?

Is there other computers on the network and it is working fine for them?
Have you tried restarting the router?

As asked earlier, do you get any lights on the back of the ethernet port or on the router where it plugs in?

It was working before, but this is the first time i've turned it on in a while. I set up a repeater bridge about 6 months ago, maybe that messed it up somehow? But the router that I have it connected to has always stayed in the same spot.

I get lights on the port of the router and the pc.

Sorry for the double post, but when I trouble shoot it says "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration.

If you have good link lights, what I see in you image, your not getting a valid IP address from DHCP. Try disconnecting the repeater bridge and go right to the router and check your IP.
