I am planning to build a desktop for connecting with HDTV to stream HD videos and movies. And also for some photo editing.
My config is looking like this,
1. AMD A8-6600K Richland 3.9GHz
2. GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-D3H
3. 4 GB DDR3
4. 1 TB Western Digital 7200 rpm

Please advise, if this is a good setup, I am also overshooting my budget for now. So any suggestions to downgrade would be most welcome.
Thanks
AJ

That's a great system for streaming and basic photo editing, but I wouldn't try to cut it down any more than it already is.

Maybe look at cheaper motherboards than the Gigabyte? That's about the only area you could afford to cut costs.

Thanks for the reply. I am not looking for a gaming machine. Would this config be suitable as a home office desktop as well and stream 1080p video from the web?
What motherboard would you suggest I could use to bring down the cost?

Also, if I stick with this configuration, would I require one fan or two in my build?
