get a data of a desktop from a harddisk of broken laptop

You need to remove the hard drive from the broken laptop, put it into a USB enclosure (you can install in the desktop but this is simpler) and then plug it into the desktop. It should show up as another hard drive in file explorer and then you can just go in and copy what you need.

^This. You can also get usb to sata adapters if you don't want the enclosure. Either way, you can get your data back.

You don't event need an adapter if you have a spare sata power and sata data cable laying around. Just plug it in and go.
