It'll be able to play all of those just fine. Mobile GPU's can't really compare to desktop GPU's, so saying that a 980M acts like a GTX 770 is a good thing. That card is still beastly.

How do i know?
I've had a GTX 780 in my desktop which was a beast. Everything maxed out - and the 770 performs almost as good.
Getting that performance in a compact, small laptop is just fantastic.

He means that a power of a GTX 770 graphics card in a laptop is really good, it is but you pay a lot of money for such a laptop.

That is completely incorrect. I have an alienware 17 (Early 2015) which is equipped with a gtx 980m 4 GB (by the way 4 GB and 8 GB has no difference besides the avalible VRAM) and an i7 4720HQ @ 3.4 GHz. My firestrike scores are 8200-8400 at stock clocks and it can reach up to 9600 when overclocked.

This is a bit late but I had to correct the mistake here in order to prevent people from misinformed. I hope it helps.

Side note: I am not 100% happy with the performance. Some games run great (GTA V, Dying Light, Tomb Raider...) and some have stuttering even though the fps is high (e.g. The Witcher 3) and some have varying fps values (The Division is mostly stable at 60 fps but some drops to 45-50 which looks like stuttering and I get annoyed by it)

All in all I think it is a very powerful card however ignoring the date this question was asked, in 2016 I would say wait for a better card or get the gtx 980 (non-m) for the laptops.
