Desktop extremely slow

My computer is really slow sometimes for no reason when i try to click on something on the desktop. My internet is fine and i can browse the internet but my desktop freezes a lot for about 10-20 seconds then it goes back to normal. I don't know why that's happening since i have a good hdd and 8gb of ram

Give us your full specs, saying 8gb of ram and "a good hard drive" is not enough.
Freezing for a short time like that could be caused by driver problems, or with your cpu not being able to keep up with all the things you want it to do, leave task manager running and post a screenshot of the performance tab after you get freezing, if the cpu usage is spiking during the freeze it is something eating up your processing power, similar thing if the ram is getting used up.
Try iobit advanced system care 7, iobit defragger, iobit antimalware, and iobit driverbooster, run a hard drive defrag, run all the maintenence options in advanced system care 7 (except the registry ones), run a malware scan, and a driver scan, and then go into your...
