[SOLVED] Desktop Folder Empty

Hi all, my laptop GPU recently gave up so i m purchased a new laptop but there are files on my old laptop HDD which i need so i am using a hard drive reader to access my files. The files on my partition are all available. However when i go to c:-users-(and then to my profile) to access other files and folders, it shows me that the folder is empty. Any idea where all my files went or how i can access the files and folders which were on my desktop?

Any error messages or pop-up windows?

Did you check the settings in File Explorer > View ?

Somehow your profile got corrupted possibly?

Fixed it!
Went to properties and added access in the security section to allow access from my new laptop. I was able to retrieve all my files.
