As I always say, RX570 4GB is the best gpu bang for buck or fps/dollar. Really close is the RX580 4GB.

As the chart proves, an RX570 is more or less half a 1080ti or Xp.

So if I buy a $1200 video card, I still need to need to dial back some settings? Lol, no thanks. IMHO, stick with the 1080P/1440P capable cards in your budget and wait until 4K is figured out. Not getting rid of my AMD 390X card soon it looks like.

From what I've seen on performance, shouldn't the 2080, the 1080ti, Titan Xp, and Titan XP be in the same grouping and the 1080 and 1070ti be in a group, with the 1070, Titan X Maxwell and the 980ti be in a group? It appears that more thought needs put into this list and I hope you have time since I do use this as a baseline.

thank god I got my 1080ti at 750ish and it is still ranked practically to 2nd place I am sure my liquid cooled 1080ti boosts itself to 2nd place with 1962mhz evga ftw3 hybrid I have yet to manual clock it but I think I can get at least 2050mhz easy and stable if I wanted to void my warranty lol

I would never go for a GPU priced over 300$, more likely a card around 200$, as I believe it's the sweet spot. Above that price point, you mainly pay extra premium for very small gains.

1080 is better and cheaper than Vega 64 .. plus you save huge on the electric bill

I got the titan xp still up there this comparison is jinxed. I was a comparison in Youtube showing 2018 ti and titan xp showing the clarity of the picture at the same time, clearly the titan was better..

The 1080 Ti is just a Titan GPU with a crippled memory controller. the GTX 1080 is the highest non-enthusiast GPU that Nvidia makes. Silly marketing schemes!

it means "anything along the line has best price for a given performance / or best performance for a given price"

Anything to the left is worst performance for a given price, or worst price for a given performance.

Possible chart error: Cards are listed in descending score order, except the 1060 3GB at 43.6 is above the 570's 49.5; are the scores or positions swapped?

Competely agree with the post below! Please keep the GPU Performance Hierarchy Table going! It is brilliant and I refer to this table very often.

Please don't give up on the GPU Performance Hierarchy Table. I see it's now been renamed "Legacy GPU Hierarchy", so I hope that doesn't mean you intend to stop updating it.

For many years this table has been the single best resource for quickly comparing graphics cards. Detailed reviews are great for comparing cards within a category, but for quickly dismissing a card or prompting further research, there is nothing else on the web which compares to it. It would be a real shame for it to fall into neglect.

The MSI 580 card listed on sale at New Egg doesn't have 8gb of memory. When you click the link it takes you to a 4gb card.

Um, yeah, with this update, the RX 590 was not added to the legacy chart.

And, where it's in the modern card section in the newer chart, it most certainly does NOT belong ABOVE the 2080Ti...

Here is an update for the scatter plot with the 590 and new prices for 29 November 2018

It shows that the budget card should be the RX 560. AMD wins all the way until Nvidia takes the crown with the 1070 Ti (but the Vega 56 is rougly on the same place.
From this point, spending more money has diminnishing returns. It doesn't makes sense to buy more than the RTX 2080.

Let's not forget the Titan V, which would probably be plotted not so much on the graph but likely in the middle of the 2nd or 3rd post above the graph. :lol:
