Desktop Icons load Slow

So I have this issue where when a new user logs onto a device that has the software FUJI PACS Synapse installed, the Recycle Bin icon will appear, and about 10 seconds later the rest of their desktop icons appear. If I uninstalled FUJI PACS Synapse and have a new user login, then all the icons appear immediately. I have tried disabling this software on startup using msconfig to no avail. Anybody have an idea of what I can try to fix that, seems like it freezes explorer.exe or something for those 10 seconds before it lets it finish. Thank you.

You need a 3rd party Startup Manager... MSConfig isn't really good at disabling startup programs. You could try the FREE Autoruns.

So I figured out part of the issue. I used ShellExView and it looks like Synapse has a shell extension that runs. If I disable that one shell extension my icons appear immediately, but then Synapse doesn't work. Is there another way I could process this shell extension without disabling it?
