desktop icons of programs keep disappearing and show blank only?

"WINDOWS 10-Pro 64bit" hi all, does anyone know how to correct or what to do, at random, ICONS of programs on the desktop (shortcuts), just get BLANK, when i click on it, to change ICON or update, it shows it correctly, but they don't appear on the desktop correctly, just remain blank...??? anyone have a solution to this problem? BLANK ICONS

Open C:\Users\'your username,' look for a folder named AppData, if you can't find it, click on the 'View' tab, then tick the Hidden folders option. Once inside the folder, click on 'Local.' Search for a file name 'IconCache.db,' and delete it. Create a new notepad file, and save it as 'All Files,' after renaming it 'IconCache.db.' Change the file properties to Read Only.
You can either restart your computer, or Go to Task Manager > End the process 'Explorer.exe' > Create a new task with admin privileges > Choose explorer.exe.
