Desktop Icons shows only text, start menu doesn't work. Even in Safe Mode

Please help me, my Desktop Icons shows only text, my start menu doesn't work, and my taskbar only show the icons on the right! I tried it in Safe Mode, and still the same! Please help me!!

What OS are you running?
- What happen when you click on the program icon, does it show the icon at all?
- Check Windows Aero theme
- Can you System Restore to earlier point?
- Hold the Windows key + R to bring up the Run console, type SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe > check "Use drop shadows for icon on the desktop"
- The registry may be corrupted, download/install Glary Registry repair
- Run a full scan on adware/virus removal just to be safe

Hallo Supasieu, I'm busy following your suggestions. The "Use drop shadows for icon..." was already checked. I'm using Windows 7 Basic. When I click on the icon, it only allows me to edit the name. When I dubble click on the icon (words), it opens the document or folder saved on the desktop. I will try the Glary Registry now.

Hello, I downloaded Glary Registry repair, and did a scan, he found a lot of errors, but about 26 File associations he could not repair. i am still struggling.
