[SOLVED] Desktop icons taking forever to load

So I've had this issue starting about a week ago. Never seen it before in the two years I've had this system. All my desktop icons work perfectly fine upon computer start up. There is no extra load time. My cpu OC is perfectly stable and everything else looks good. But now for some reason when I start up my computer the desktop icons won't show their true image for like 30 seconds to a minute. Like I said they all still work, but take time for the image to load. What could be causing this?

r9 3900x cpu
2070 super
16gb 2x8gb kit ram
500gb WD 3d NAND ssd
