I went to stand up and I accidently put my hand on my keyboard and pressed quite a few keys, some tab came up and quickly went away and my desktop has completely no colour. I have updated drivers, reinstalled drivers and done a few of the basic things others have suggested to fix it and nothing. When I restart the computer, all the opening moments are in colour. It's only till I log in to when it loses colour. I have a GTX 1060, Core i5 7600. Can anyone help, as I desperately need to do work and I require colour to do so.

Solution
likely you have somehow set your theme to monochrome view for handicapped

goto settings, type themes in the search bar, select high contrast settings, change theme to none. click apply, you may need to re-select a normal theme after that.

Control - Windows - C is the keyboard shortcut in case anyone is in a hurry!

You, my friend, deserve a lot of doughnuts. Thanks!

I had the same problem. I solved it another way:
Settings
Ease of Access
Color & high contrast
Apply color filter = Off

For some reason the settings had been changed to:
Apply color filter = On
Choose a filter = Grayscale
