Question Desktop just shows HP logo on boot, no BIOS options

Hi,

I have an HP p6-2307a tower, it was all working fine when i went away for a week. I came back, turned it on and all I get is a black screen with the HP logo and no BIOS options. It just stays like that, and there is no beep at all.
No lights come on on the keyboard, if i press Caps Lock that light doesnt light up like normal

If i remove the RAM then it beeps as expected

I have
tried a different PSU
removed all connectors from mobo except power switch
removed the CMOS battery
reset CMOS using the jumper
taken power cable out and held power button in for 30s
pressed Windows key and B then powered it on
powered on then pressed Windows key and B straight after
pressed Windows key and V then powered it on
powered on then pressed Windows key and V straight after
But nothing changes with any of the above

I have downloaded the BIOS file from HP website on another PC but when I run the file it doesnt give me the option to create a bootable USB drive like it says in the instructions on HP website.

Anything else to try?

Tap F2 button straight after you power it on.

Ive tried pressing Esc, F2, F10, Del but it doesnt respond to any key presses its as if the keyboard isnt connected, like I said the caps lock light doesnt light up when pressed.

Can you try another keyboard?

Yeah Ive tried a keyboard from another PC that definitely works but exactly the same

Is the ram you have still the original?
Or is it at least compatible - per HP?
Have you tried just one stick of ram at a time?
Have you tried doing a cmos reset?
Have you tested the ram with eg memtest86?

original RAM I believe
Tried each stick in both RAM slots one at a time
RAM works fine in another PC
Ram from other working PC gives same results in the HP PC
Taken CMOS battery out and used the jumper to reset CMOS as well

Is the other PC the same make and model as yours?

Can you try the ram from the other PC in yours?

I've accepted the mobo is dead and replaced it now
