Hi,
My pc is the following,

Fx 6300
RX 480 8gb
8gb DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD

Heres my problem/question.
You know how when you click and drag on the desktop, it creates a blue drag box, square/rectangle? When I do that, for the first while it is very smooth. But when I highlight more of the desktop and some icons it begins to have a very low framerate, like starts to glitch. Now, I have a old stupid laptop, and I can highlight it and its perfectly smooth on it. So is there a problem with my cpu or something thats not rendering things the way it should? Is there a setting I can change to fix this?

dwm.exe is responsible for Windows Aero. Disable Windows Aero from control panel to see improvement in performance.

Here's how to disable/enable Aero under Win 7 and Win Vista,
link: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-windows-aero-windows-7.html

Under Win 8 and Win 10: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-visual-effects-windows

On my Skylake build (with Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit), i have dwm.exe using about 0.15% of my i5-6600K. If yours use more (e.g 22%) and you still want to use Windows Aero then programs that can cause high dwm.exe usage are AVG and Avast anti-virus software, MS Office outdated version, Logitech SetPoint and Outlook.
