Desktop looks like a folder

I came back from work and my desktop icons looked like they were in a folder but I can still see my background. It also has the bar on the top with the sorting options. Any way to fix this without a restore?

Did you download anything recently? Do you know of any installs that might have taken place? Have you went to windows programs to see what is installed? I also recommend a program called Revo for uninstalling software. It's very effective and removing weird and problematic programs that can cause problems.

Do you mean you want to change the view of the folder? Go into the folder, at the top it will say "view" go to folder option and select what you want to see at the top pane of the folder

i know how to fix it, i had the same problem and i litterly just found out how to fix it.

-right click your desktop

-hover over view

-then click small, medium or large icons
