Question Desktop not detecting new monitor.

Hi! My new monitor says 'no signal'.it's a generic Koorui w/DP plugged into Asus Strig G10DK w/Display port.
The monitor works fine w/ my older Dell Inspiron 5080.
I'm not techy enuff to know what to check on this issue or why the Asus isn't working with it.
Any help is much appreciated!

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

On the desktop, right click an open area. Select the GPU's Control Panel.

Verify that the correct configuration settings are being used.

Also check the new monitor's menu screens. Ensure that the monitor is configured for DP input.

Thanks! for your reply! I just actually got it working by plugging the new monitor w/the DP cable into my new pc while it was still hooked up to my old monitor.I then unplugged the old monitor and VOila! the new monitor now is working great!Not sure what happened but I am happy lol!
