hi everyone I have a good desktop pc here and have connected via cable until recently, which worked fine, but now I'm trying to connect to a wireless network, no networks are showing up.

I have a laptop right next to it that sees many networks and connects with no problems, so I bought a Dlink DWA-130 usb stick, in case the desktop adaptor was broken, but still no luck.

The usb adaptor installed fine and appears to be working when I view in Network (see pic).
Any suggestions would be appreciated thankyou!

I think it's a hardware issue yes. My workaround is to plug an ethernet cable from my laptop (which is working fine with wifi) to my desktop, then enable sharing, which works fine, even if it is a clunky solution. thanks for the suggestions guys!
Did you click on the Troubleshoot link? Why do you have 4 other disabled adapters in the system? You have a Broadcom wireless disabled, you have a few other ethernet adapters disabled and some other TAP adapter disabled. Seems a bit odd for a normally functioning system.

hi thanks for replying, I've tried the troubleshoot, and the reason I disabled all the other adaptors was to make sure they didn't interfere with each other (advice from someone else I spoke to).

On another forum, they suggest the router might be 5ghz, the adaptors are not, which would make sense as they ALL don't work, so I may just have to buy a 5ghz adaptor, once I find out about the router, I'll post an update here thankyou

The thing with the adapters is why do you have two Ethernet and two wireless adapters in the same system? Just a bit strange to see that. If your router only broadcasts on 5 ghz then you won't see anything, but it would be another odd setup if that was the case, I have not seen a 5 ghz only router come out yet. Now you may have gone into the setup and turned off the 2.4 ghz band, that is possible. You should at least see a bunch of your neighbors and other WiFi signals unless you are in a remote area. I see like 15 WiFi signals at my house. The No connections are available with the WiFi option showing most often comes up when the WiFi card is installed but is disabled, or has some hardware issue.
