Desktop not turning On when AMD recommended Screen Resolution settings applied for my LG LCD Monitor

Hi,

Today, when i was updating my software for AMD (Sapphire R9 280x toxic), it showed me a pop up asking me "whether to apply the AMD recommended screen resolution settings". Then I clicked "Yes" and after that my monitor screen went black with a blue rectangular display saying "74.5khz / 60hz".

And then i turned off my system to check whether the settings get reverted to previous one. But, when I clicked on the power button, my system was not turning on.

Please help me. I am clueless here.

When you turn on the pc is there any beep/code? Or does it get into windows (can you hear the windows login sound?) but only with no signal in the monitor?

No. I don't get any beeps. Only thing I can see is green Led glowing in my motherboard and the lan socket blinks. Nothing shows in my monitor.

Any sound from the speakers letting you know it got into Windows?

No sound. It says check signal cable in the monitor screen.

In that case it sounds like a shorting issue, try these troubleshooting steps:

I suggest you start with the breadboarding method, described after step 23 I think, then apply the steps described above.

I fixed it by changing the monitor to the latest one. We need to have monitor which supports that VGA I guess. Thank you.
