Desktop PC/Wireless Network to Receiver(HDMI)

What I have been looking into is PC streaming to my Onkyo Receiver.

My Desktop PC is on the same floor about 25 feet away but not in direct line of sight. There is no door or anything in between but there is a wall.

My specs:
Intel Quad 2 Core Extreme 9650 CPU
8GB DDR2 ram
SSD Hard Drive w/WIndows 7 64bit ultimate
Asus Nvidia 570 CirectCU II Video Card
Asus Maximus Formula II mobo w/X-fi sound
2x Samsung monitors.

I have an Onkyo Receiver with 5 HDMI inputs connected to an LG 42" Edge Lit LED TV.

To cut costs we only have Comcast basic w/fast internet speeds. (Netflix/Hulu Plus) I have my own Modem with a Netgear R6200 Dual band Wireless router.

What I want to do is be able to get Video/Audio (what my PC is playing/streaming) wirelessly to the receiver via an HDMI cable that I can select as an input through the receiver. My video card, though it is HDMI does not play sound. There are so many products out there 'claiming' to do the job but I am skeptical. Especially considering reception distance.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Personally I'd look into getting a chromecast.
