Hello,

I've got this pc just up and running on windows 8.1pro : https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/tqkvM8
However when i try to adjust the display resolution through control panel it would not let me select any higher than 1280x1024. This screen is supposed to go up to 1440p, can anyone help?
Also when i go on monitor's menu the ImageSetup icon is grayed out.
Thanks.

Solution
well that is the catch...you can't your running windows 8.1. Only windows 10 supports kaby lake CPUs and iGPUs. Your either stuck with what you have working now, be glad it works at all for the record. Or you have to go windows 10. I had almost forgot myself. When I re-looked up your CPU and iGPU...I saw kaby lake and had a Homer Simpson "doh" moment. I should had you covered in post one. I apologize for missing it this long.

Oops you might get lucky...officially supported doesn't always mean no support. I would give this a try I did see windows 8.1 drivers...if that doesn't fix things then win10 is the direction I would go.

@andy_K nice spot. The OP may luck out yet.
