I have a 120GB SSD with Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit installed on it, I am selling my PC but want to keep the SSD so I tried installing it in my laptop the BIOS recognises that it is there and it starts to boot but then goes into a loop. I was wandering if there was a way to get it working.

Hey there, Spindley!

@BadActor is right about this one. Taking a drive with preinstalled Windows from another system wouldn't work in most cases, unless the motherboards of the 2 computers are the exact same model or pretty similar ones. Even if this is the case, chances are that this might not work.
I'd suggest that you connect that drive to a different computer if you have important data on it, so that you can back it up. Once you've done this, go ahead and follow @BadActor's advice and make a fresh install of Windows.

Hope that helps.

I feared that I would have to do a clean install but thanks for the help.
