Hello all,

First off, I appreciate any and all help and advice given. Also, if this question is not in the right forum, I apologize. I recently got home after not using my desktop for 4-5 months. After trying to turn it on, the fans and lights turn on, but shut off after 2 seconds. It then turns back on and off like this ad-naseam until I hold the power button down long enough to turn it off. After some digging online, I believe this is called boot looping (maybe!?).

I have already tried to take out and put back in the RAM to no avail. I am fairly new to building/troubleshooting desktops, and I also have no other parts to switch in and out to find the offending component. Do you have any advice to find what is wrong and how I can test it?

Thank you!

Solution
1.Try with only one stick of RAM.

2.If that doesn't work try that same stick in every slot.

If that doesn't work repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other stick of RAM.
