Hello

I've been having a problem for a few months now with the amount of memory Desktop Window Manager and Windows Explorer are using.

I've noticed that they only use too much memory when I leave the PC on for 2 days or longer. Another thing I've noticed is that the more things I have open, the less memory they use. So if I had for example Chrome open, a game, some video player, and other things, the amount of memory they use decreases, and after I close them the memory use goes back up.
I've already tried different things but nothing worked. I did however find a temporary fix for this, which was disabling Superfetch (I think that's what it's called). It fixed it for a few days but now it's back again.
Would appreciate any kind of help with this.
Thank you!

File corruption perhaps:

Resource Monitor may help discover the problem.

Otherwise:

1) Try reinstalling Chrome.

2) Then run "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) via the Windows' command prompt.
Thank you for your response!
I did the "sfc /scannow" method and it said that it found corrupted files and repaired them. Hopefully this fixes it.
