Hello good folk of TomsHardware,

I'm in dire need of help in these times, because my Removed screen keeps going black while playing. I was trying to get help on nvidia forums (still do with one good lad who tries to help me) but nothing worked so far, so i'm turning to you maybe some of you met this problem before. I wouldn't really detail it here because i already did in the nvidia thread, i kindly ask you to look at this link for the details:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1068900/geforce-drivers/desktop-window-manager-crashes-while-playing/

But to sum it up i copy my first post from the thread:
"about a year ago i bought an EVGA GTX1070 and been using it ever since without problems, but two weeks ago i upgraded the other parts of my pc and in the past 3 days dwm.exe keeps crashing. I traced it back(or i suppose i did to the nvidia driver).
My specs:
MSI Z370 GAMING PRO
Intel i5-8400
EVGA GTX1070
G.skill ripjaw v 8gb x 2
corsair CX600 psu

As i said it started like 3 days ago, in reliability monitor i saw LiveKernelEvent 141 and 117. Tried clean installing drivers, i even did a clean reinstall of windows while wiping everything and the issue now still persist(i only got the 117 code even so far though). I checked the dump file windows created in the debugger it pointed to the nvidia driver(cant recall the filename). Did the SFC scan things as well, did not help."

p.s: english is not my mother language so sorry in advance for the spelling/grammar mistakes

Thanks in advance

Solution
Possible the psus is failing. This is one of the ways of failure that the older CX's are notorious for. Starts failing under load then degrades to failing randomly when not under load.

Yes that is correct and at first i tried it without a clean reinstall, it worked for a week or two like that. But after that the issue started happening (black screen and gpu fans on 100%) i did multiple clean reinstalls. Yesterday it started doing this even on Desktop, didnt require a game to "crash".
