Hello,

I am brand new to building computers and I have a question related to wireless network cards and desktops. I'm looking to start off building a very basic computer, and I'm looking at a Biostar Micro-ATX entry level motherboard. It does have a PCI-slot, but looking at the overhead and side pictures, it doesn't look like the card will have room in the area of the motherboard that goes out to the back of the computer.

My question is this: How can I tell if the Wireless Network card really will fit on the motherboard short of buying and trying it? Do I even need to worry about it? Do all PCI-peripherals fit into all PCI slots in all motherboards?

Sorry for the noob-errific question.
