OK, but if I hear once more that I should "go see an eye doctor, since it's 'not a monitor issue'
then I'll quit this thread, because it's getting way too exasperating - I heard it too much from others who were way off base. For one thing, it wouldn't even be an eye issue, rather a neuro issue. For another, I went years ago to an opthamologist who said "you're fidgety, right?" because he knew it's related to an overall nerve issue. Still, what do doctors know about monitors? So please do NOT advise me to go to a doctor - most of them are callously stupid anyway as you'd know if you'd ask millions of patients.
OK, here's the story, since y'all insist:
I'm photosenstive with hyper-reactive nerves. I have heavy metals, and metal toxicity [may be] associated with photosensitivity. I've been on several rounds of chelation, but that's another story.
I came across a site by a programmer who himself was photosensitive to a new LCD, and he had a friend who was photosensitive as well. He said that probably the photosensitivity is due to the flurescent backlighting.
But he also said that an IBM ThinkPad notebook resolved his health problems that he previously experienced with the new LCD.
Problem is, the ThinkPad is way out of the price range I can spend. It's enough I spent $300 on the Samsung that has been electrocuting me.
I'm now working on an old spare CRT from 1991 (or 1989) which isn't causing me nearly the problems the LCD did. But even this is not ideal.
So I need advice from an engineer who knows the inner workings AND LIGHTING SYSTEMS of all types of monitors, new & old, and can advise me based on this. I can't afford anymore guesswork.
It's either that, or I'll soon have to quit computers & the InterNet, because my health is more important. And you cannot imagine the terrible health problems I get. Electrocution is no exaggeration.
BTW, I doubt it's an EMF problem, because I had tried an expensive $300 EMF "protection device" which absolutely failed to help me. It's much more likely a flurescent issue, since, even as a child, flurescents in dept. stores bothered me.
Now, I hope I didn't waste my time by posting this. If anyone responds in a non-understanding way that causes me more pain than I already have, I'm outta here. I cannot tolerate more pain, I tried much too hard already, to get answers - with barely any results.
P.S. I'd like to thank the one guy up there who understood where I'm at. Thank you!
