Hey there, qwy1957.

Other than that problem, is the drive accessible, do you experience any different issues with it?
If you get "destination is not accessible", it is quite possible that you might have a problem with the target drive. I assume that you're talking about an external HDD (as people rarely backup data on an internal drive in the same system), but please correct me if I'm wrong. Other than that, is that a drive just for backing up your data, or is it used for storage as well? I'm asking because if it's just a backup HDD, that would mean that you already have a copy of those files and you won't lose anything if the drive is failing.

So as I've already mentioned I'll assume that the drive is an external one with backups of files which you already have. So go ahead and try the HDD with a different USB cable (preferably shorter than 12") and a different computer, to see if the same thing happens. If you have no luck with that, I'd recommend that you download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostics tool and test the drive with it, to see if any error or bad sectors pop-up.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
