Destiny 2 running signifigantly slower after upgrading cpu

Before, i used to use an AMD-FX 4300. I overclocked it to 4.1ghz. I used to get a good 85 fps most of the time.

I recently upgraded my CPU and cooling solution. I now use an AMD-FX 8350 overclocked to 4.3Ghz. The cooling is now watercooled, being coolermaster's Masterliquid ML240L RGB.

Im still using the same GPU, a GTX-1050ti, but now i am getting random frame drops to 20-30fps even with signifigantly lowered settings.

PSU is a corsair 650w psu, motherboard is 760GM-p23

Any advice?

Is there any way i can get it to not throttle without buying a new motherboard?

You could try underclocking and undervolting the cpu.

What would be a sensible underclock/overvoltage?
