Determining PC bottleneck

Hi all,

So I just built a new PC machine with the following specs:
Core i5- 7600 3.5Ghz
GTX 1080 OC
RipJaws 16GB DDR4 2400
Gigabyte GA-H270 Motherboard
CoolerMaster liquid pro 120
750W PSU
Acer Predator X34 monitor (3440x1440 with Gsync enabled)

Lately while playing games like the witcher 3 and Mass Effect Andromeda I have noticed occasional instances in sudden dipping of FPS for a second or two and the occasional stuttering. I am just wondering if my CPU is bottle-necking. I have the GPU in OC mode and monitor I have kept at its base clock of 60hz...

Any help would be very much appreciated

BIOS up to date?

Set GPU to "normal" mode

drivers up to date?

run 3dmark timespy (free demo), click on compare result online after it and post the upcoming link

As far as I know the BIOS is up to date. Everything looks good in device manager. GPU drivers all up to date with GeForce Experience. I'll give the 3dmark a go

uninstall geforce experience, it´s not that good and can get your system in "trouble"
