Setup: Cable Modem connected to WAN of Home Router.
My router (Synology RT6600ax) will only achieve 80 Mbps Interned download speed with OpenVPN installed on it. Without the VPN on the router, I achieve 500 Mbps internet download or the maximum my ISP service provides. See block diagram attached.
Is there a device you can point me to that will sit between the cable modem and router, or interface to the cable modem WAN output and the 1Gb Ethernet of the Router, that will install a client OpenVPN and provide an internet download speed of 500 Mbps?
Thank you for the tips.
