[SOLVED] device descriptor failed on a micro SD cars

good day to you, I have this memory card in which I have important files, when I put it in a card reader I get the message:
usb drive is not recognizable
going through device manager I get the message:
device descriptor failed
is there anything I can do to retrieve the files on the card?

From your description it's possible your card reader is the culprit so try a new one.


Note: Important files on a memory card should always be backed up to a more reliable storage device.

thank you for your reply , I put another card in the reader and it worked just fine?

I was wrong then, it's the card that's faulty, not the reader.

Like I already suggested, if you didn't back up the files to more reliable storagedevice (eg HDD) before the card packed up, I don't know any way to retrieve them if the card isn't recognised.
