Device driver detection software

What is the best device drivers detection software?

I don't know if there is any outside of research. I could be wrong though.

There are many that appear to provide this service, but I have never seen any that deliver.

When I seek out the best drivers for any system I am looking at I always go to the manufacturers website and download from them directly.

To identify the hardware I am searching drivers for I use SIW. The standalone freeware version is trumps.
