Device Led On

On the Asus 170-a the motherboard led light is boot device is stuck on. There is no post and the light stays red. I have tried removing the hard drive, removing the gpu, I don't know what is wrong. I have checked most of the pins to see if I placed a cable in the wrong socket and do not have a cpu lying around to test if it works.

It's new the cpu is i5-6600,Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory,EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB SuperSC ACX 2.0+ Video Card,Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer,Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive, and a Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

The DRAM_Led is on now

Now insert single RAM module, connect the monitor to the board using DVI, or VGA.
See if still no signal.

the device boot drive led is still on but I got a post with Bios

Now insert a bootable DVD or USB drive and see if still red boot led.

I plugged in my ssd and it started up with no red device boot led

Now power off, install all RAMs (not the card), start the board and see if working. If it does, power off again, install the card too and connect the monitor to it.

OK installed the Gpu and the Ram along with my Optical drive. everything is good

Thank you for the help was so odd that all it took was uninstalling everything but the cpu to get it to work
